Hello Everyone Just so you are all aware we are running our popular Annual Anniversary Competitions for both Unaffiliated Dressage & Unaffiliated Show Jumping on the weekend of the 25th (Dressage) and 26th (Show Jumping) January 2014.  We have now completed our schedules and provide these below. We will be offering a trophy for winners of these classes in celebration of our anniversary. For competitors travelling to our venue for our weekend competitions on the 30th November and 1st December we have been informed by the Highway Authority that you will NOT be able to access Hyde Lane this weekend from the GE Aviation Traffic lights on the A435 Evesham / Cheltenham Road.  Access must be from Kingsditch Lane onto Wymans Lane approach. We received have now received an update from Mr C Riley from Gloucestershire Highway Authority under their incident No 908138, that they have modifyed their work programme to ensure access is maintained throughout Saturday 30th November as long as vehicles are approaching Hyde Lane from the West via Wymans Lane and under the railway bridge. However, Sunday is not guaranteed in the morning at all times and competitors may have to turn left before the railway bridge on Hyde Lane, and go into Swindon Village along Church Road. Follow this

With Christmas nearly apon us we provide schedules below for our Two Christmas Show Jumping Competitions to be held on Sunday 1st December where Pony & Rider can wear ‘Safe’ Xmas fancy dress. We start the Children’s competition at 9.30 am and hope to start the Adult / Open show jumping competition from 1.00 pm (approx).  Our schedules for these two competitions are provided below: NEW HEIGHTS Children’s Jumping Schedule & point System for Sept_-_Dec_2013 1.12.13 Adult Xmas Show Jumping Schedule 2013   Please note that the adults classes include ‘PAIRS’ which add to the fun of the competitions. So remember that the pairs can be family members, yard friends etc. and all the classes are ‘Open’ to all, so lets have some fun!! As we are an approved venue by British Dressage for hosting able bodied competitions, we are also approved for hosting Para rider competitions. This Saturday (9.11.13) we are running both competitions and we are pleased to advise that we have received entries for the Para classes from some Olympic and a World class rider, so if you want to come and watch the competition in our fully furnished viewing gallery just call in. The Para classes should be running from approx 12.30 pm until approximately 5.00 pm. Hope to see a few of you!

Due to competitors requests we have moved our popular clear round jumping to the first Saturday of the month (not in December or January) starting on 2nd November  from 9.00 am until approx 12.00 Noon (last tickets sold approx 11.30 am).  Again we have been asked to provide hot food and drinks / confectionary so we will offer this as a trial and open our kitchen. After clear round jumping the course will be available for hire for a limited period. We hope this morning activity will become popular with riders wishing to participate in clear round jumping. The rates will remain held at £3.50 / round and jump heights will be adjusted to suit riders requests, when they attend. The arena will no longer have a full course of jumps laid out for hire on a Tuesday, but will be available for a limited period on the Monday. Please see our

We are pleased to offer to riders the opportunity to attend clinics we will be running once a month from November with Judith Murphy. Judith will be available for teaching flatwork sessions / clinics to help riders looking to improve their dressage test riding. She regularly judges at Unaffiliated Competitions and has herself competed to Advanced Medium. She has been teaching beginners to BHSI level for 28 years and has a patient and constructive outlook to getting the best from horse and rider partnership. These clinics will have a minimum of 3 riders with a maximum of 5 in a group. We will aim to split Groups into Preliminary / Novice and then Elementary / Medium British Dressage test standards and upwards. Emphasis during the clinic’s will be on how not to throw away marks and riding more accurate tests. Judith is also a BHS Senior Assessor to PTT level and a Chief Assessor at Stages

We are pleased to advise everyone that we will be running the popular South West Unaffiliated Dressage & Show Jumping qualifying competitions from 22nd September (show jumping) and 29th September (Dressage).  We provide a copy below of our new schedules for these unaffiliated competitions which are open to both children & adults. We also provide below a copy of the Hartpury College poster for their Championships for your information. Last years hay for sale and new hay available of the field for £2.50 / bale

We currently have approximately 300 bales of last years hay for sale at £3.50 per bale. We will shortly be cutting and providing new hay for this year in small (generous sizes) bales for transfer to our hay barn.  Due to the success of last years collection of hay from the field before we transported it to the barn, we will be offering this again, with a price likely to be around £3.00 / bale (to be confirmed).  We are very pleased with the quality of this years grass which had a period towards the end of last year where sheep were kept on it.
